1stWorks introduces hotComm 7.50, with its industry leading Multi-Room feature for hotComm Presenters, extending the reach of presentations by enabling simultaneous replicated delivery of multimedia content into multiple rooms
Now hotComm Presenters can maximize their audience by simply adding rooms and new users to their presentations. All the material being presented in one room is mirrored in real time in all the others so hotComm can scale to reach audiences in the tens of thousands.
Multi Room, the conferencing industry’s first practical method to really scale audience reach.
BOSTON, MA, December 8, 2008 – 1stWorks, a real-time interactive communications software company with solutions for secure collaboration, multimedia content delivery, conferencing and broadcasting, today announced a powerful new feature for Presenters in the latest version of its hotComm on-demand desktop conferencing and collaboration platform.
hotComm 7.50 Multi Pro extends the current presentation capability of multimedia content into a single online Conference room by enabling the Presenter to add rooms with additional audiences. hotComm automatically mirrors the content into these additional rooms so that all participants can receive the Presenter’s content, slides, audio, real time charts, etc, but each room is a separate community integrated into this single presentation by hotComm. The Presenter can then manage each room as a separate entity, responding to questions for example, since he sees all participants, however the audience is shielded from extraneous posts originating outside their own groups unless the Presenter decides to permit this. In this initial release, up to 7 additional rooms can be integrated together, meaning that audience numbers can scale to 32,000, quite enough to a global event.
"This latest feature for hotComm represents our continuing commitment to listen to our customers and to leverage emerging technology for their immediate advantage" said Nigel Spicer, president of 1stWorks. "Improved real-time information sharing is increasingly critical to companies as they expand both nationally and globally. The need for cost-effective multimedia communications among employees, customers and partners will only grow in coming years and 1stWorks will continue to support that growing market with solutions that deliver maximum return on the investment."
hotComm is ideal for employee training, for distance learning and virtual yet interactive meetings and conferences, such as global presentations and sales demonstrations, because it offers rapid delivery and presentation of multimedia content, including chat, shared applications, data, voice over IP, together with live and recorded video right from the desktop.
